Cala Caisa is a Munich-based visual artist passionate about creating abstract works that evoke emotional and inspire contemplation. Her paintings are a reflection of her inner world, exploring themes of nature, mindfulness and the human experience.
My Story
My artistic journey began in 2014, alongside my corporate career. I was drawn to the vibrant art scene in the Middle East and initiated an art initiative that participated in renowned events like Art Dubai, Art Abu Dhabi, and Jeddah Art 21. Collaborating with inspiring visual artists, I supported their creative growth. After four years in Dubai, I returned to Munich to fully embrace my artistic journey.
Artist Statement
My creative process is often sparked by the energy and emotions of the people I encounter. A simple conversion, a shared experience, or a fleeting glance can inspire a new idea. These human connections fuel my artistic vision and drives me to create work that resonates with others.
By incorporating silk threads into my acrylic paintings, I create works that are both visual stunning and tactile. The interplay of light and shadow on the threads add an element of depth and dimension, inviting viewers to explore each piece from different angles.
I strive to create art that nourishes the soul. My work is a balm for the weary soul, a refuge from the chaos of the world. My artworks invite to pause, breathe, and connect with the inner selves.
